Well planned ...

Thank you very much for a most enjoyable tour. The accommodation was very comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Great food. Amazing scenery. We enjoyed the activities - kayaking, beach and the Surprise Cave. The itinerary was well planned, with plenty to do, but not too rushed. We will pass on your details and our recommendation to our friends.

Mystical place...

Halong Bay was the highlight of our Vietnam family holiday. I don't usually use these types of words, but I can only describe it as an awe-inspiring, almost mystical place.

We spent 2 days and 1 night on an "Indochina Sails" junk. It was well equipped, very clean, with friendly and professional staff - and importantly the food was great!

It was a very peaceful, but also breath-taking, experience. The views were stunning.

We got to laze on the deck of the junk, swim in the bay, kayak, visit Ti Top island (where we climbed to the top of a hill to see some amazing vews) and also visit a floating fishing village.

Caring and gracious staff ...

My partner and I decided that we would spend just that little bit extra when we went to Halong Bay and boy was it worth it.

We sailed Halong Bay with Indochina Sails, it was absolutely the highlight of our holiday. The entire trip we felt absolutely pampered - we were treated to 6 or 7 course lunches, buffet dinner, the best cocktails around and most importantly, caring and gracious staff.

We chose to stay two nights on the boat, so we could have a full day to travel around the bay and I think this was certainly a valid choice.

The first day we were taken to a viewing point, climbed up a few hundred stairs (which yes was quite painful, but worth it!!) and had the chance to look over the beautiful Halong Bay. We were provided with water and towels (and of course countless photo opps!). Later on the same day we then had the choice to either kayak or visit the floating villages. We chose to see the floating villages which are the most fascinating things in the world and I am so happy I saw them, because that was what I wanted to see when I visited Halong Bay.

The second day included swimming in the bay, caving, kayaking, sunbathing, jumping off the boat into the stunning warm water and relaxing on our private beach.

The last day we went caving once again before returning to Halong City - which we so didn't want to return to - we just wanted to stay on the boat!!

The boat also offers a massage service, which my boyfriend and I took full advantage of.\

I would certainly recommend Indochina Sails for any discerning travellers visiting Halong Bay, and DEFINETLY stay 2 nights!!

Looked after so well ...

We had a wonderful 3 day/2 night trip aboard Indochina Sails recently. The service was excellent, we were looked after so well on board. The boats are great - spacious, well furnished; the food is of a very high standard (I'm a veggie, and they prepared at least 4 dishes especially for me!); and the bedroom and bathroom are very well fitted out.

Our shower wasn't working properly - to our amazement, one of their workmen came and changed the entire unit within 20 minutes! I wouldn't have expected a hotel to manage to do this so efficiently or effectively, let alone a boat with limited materials and skills on board.

The highlight had to be kayaking through the caves; but Tai Chi at sunrise, which I thought would be just a gimmick, was a great experience whilst looking out over the Bay.

It's hard to comment on Indochina Sails versus their competitors, the junks all look quite similar from the outside! However I would happily use them again - it was very difficult to step off the boat at the end.
